Char Mitts is the owner, principal researcher, and lecturer for C & J Genealogical Services. She is a Lead Temple and Family History Consultant and President of the Johnson County Genealogical Society. She lectures for Legacy Family Tree Software and leads the Kansas City Area Legacy Family Tree Users Group. Char is a graduate of the ProGen series and lead two groups through the program. ProGen is an online collaborative learning experience to encourage aspiring and professional genealogist to help develop their genealogical research and business skills. She is the mother of seven children and grandmother of nineteen.

Fred Praechter
 
 
Rick Praechter -- Rick has more than 20 years researching family history in northwest Missouri, North Carolina, Iowa, Ohio and Indiana.  Additionally, he has conducted extensive research in Kansas and Denmark which culminated in the publication of a book on the Sarensen family history.  Fred is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
Rick spent 30 years as a law enforcement investigator and has extensive training and knowledge in court house research, especially land records, court records (civil and criminal) and other county records. He has broad knowledge of the Kansas and Missouri Border Wars plus histories of numerous Missouri counties, especially in the St. Louis area.
